Why the medical comes first
A pilot career in India is regulated end to end by the DGCA, and medical fitness is one of the earliest requirements. Getting clarity here first means you do not commit time or money to ground classes and flying hours before knowing where you stand.
The Class 2 medical is the entry-level assessment most students take when they begin. The Class 1 medical is the more detailed examination associated with commercial pilot licence requirements, carried out at authorised centres.

Pilot medical questions
Which medical comes first, Class 2 or Class 1?
Most students in India start with the DGCA Class 2 medical, which is required early in training, and then take the Class 1 medical, which is needed for a commercial pilot licence.
What do the medicals broadly check?
Vision and colour vision, hearing, ENT, cardiovascular health, general physical fitness and a set of laboratory tests. The examining doctor and DGCA decide the outcome, not us.
Can you guarantee a medical clearance?
